ROLPH SCARLETT
Rolph Scarlett (1889–1984) was a core painter of the Guggenheim's founding non-objective collection under Hilla Rebay, with more than sixty works in the museum. His geometric abstractions from the 1930s and 40s represent American non-objective painting at its purest, and institutional interest has revived his market.
