About this work
A lithograph by Artists Misc. from an edition of 2500. Hand signed by the artist. The work is in excellent condition and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
Frame size approximated 31.5 x 41.5 inches. Myriad shades of sapphire, aquamarine, and brilliant green lichens play off the jewel-like eyes of a leopard, who spends afternoons taking refuge in her favorite "sausage" tree. Lichens are hardy, moss-like plants—several thousand species exist and thrive under extreme conditions throughout the world. The leopard is a rare sighting, even in game-rich Tanzania. The leopard's perch, high above the Serengeti, keeps her safe from competing predators, provides a vantage point for finding prey and a restful place to pass the heat of the day
