In 1974, Warhol produced the Flowers (Hand-Colored) portfolio, along with the Flowers (Black and White) portfolio, based on images of flowers found in a wallpaper catalogue. The Flowers (Hand-Colored) series focuses on Warhol’s fascination with line drawings, similar to his work from the 1950s, which emphasizes outline more than composition
