A 1974 screen print hand-colored with dr. martin’s aniline watercolor dyes on Arches paper and j. green paper by Andy Warhol from an edition of 250. Hand signed and dated in pencil on verso by the artist. The work is in excellent condition and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
In 1974, Warhol produced the Flowers (Hand-Colored) portfolio, along with the Flowers (Black and White) portfolio, based on images of flowers found in a wallpaper catalogue. The Flowers (Hand-Colored) series focuses on Warhol’s fascination with line drawings, similar to his work from the 1950s, which emphasizes outline more than composition
