About this work
Socks comes to us from the studio of Erte.
Erté (Romain de Tirtoff, 1892–1990) defined Art Deco elegance across seven decades — Harper's Bazaar covers, Folies Bergère costumes and the serigraphs and bronzes of his celebrated late revival. The "father of Art Deco" remains the standard by which deco collecting is measured, and his Alphabet and Numerals suites are perennially sought after.
We hold the specifics for this piece — medium, size, edition and condition — and are glad to share them. Get in touch for details and further images.
